Reduced de-vitrification means lamps burn cleaner through and beyond their rated life. This makes Cleararc ballasts much more suitable for projection applications
Reduced parts count, even with active power factor correction.
Less heat produced means less cooling is needed, typically 30% less. Fans can be eliminated for most applications, so there is no fan noise which keeps sound engineers happy
No lamp ‘sing’. Again keeping the sound engineers happy.
Higher reliability. Fewer parts running cooler, significantly enhances reliability
Integrated ignitor in either cold strike or hot re-strike versions
Operates worldwide without the need to select input voltage tapings
Meets CE and UL standards
Integrated line filter
Microprocessor controlled
Dimming to 50%
Low cost
Complete package solution – eliminates the need for fans and line filters in most applications – a truly one part solution
Technical Background
Cleararc ballasts operate discharge lamps at a very high frequency, depending upon lamp wattage. A special ignitor design is employed to allow hot re-strike of lamps in some applications.
